EXCITING NEWS FROM DR. MANDEL AND TEAM:
LETTER FROM DR. MANDEL
Dear Friends & Family,
I hope everyone had a wonderful March! This month I'd like to talk about some misconceptions and myths about depression. Depress ion is often misdiagnosed as anxiety. Many times people may even feel physical symptoms such as pain, where depression may be the underlying cause. Depression may also show up as insomnia, chronic muscle aches, and more.
As many of you know, there's a stigma that depression is a sign of mental weakness. Because of this, many people suffer in silence rather than seeking the help that they need. Depression is a mental disorder and is not something that is chosen. We need to recognize and consider all of these variables before judging a person so that they can feel more comfortable talking about their depression and are able to seek help when needed. If there is anyway I can help you or someone you care for, please reach out to me at my clinic: 310-270-0625.
I hope you all have a wonderful April and a warm Spring full of growth and possibility!
Sincerely,
Steven L. Mandel, M.D.

WELCOME KIKI!

Ketamine Clinics of Los Angeles would like to introduce the newest member our team, Kikila Bumanglag, (nickname Kiki). Kiki has worked as a caregiver for the last 37 years in a variety of settings, including at a former detox rehabilitation center. She joined our team eager to share her expertise in patient care and learn something new in the field of medicine. Ketamine Therapy was of great interest to her, as she's had family and friends over the years who could have benefited from this type of therapy.
Kiki is a warm, energetic, friendly nurse who makes patient satisfaction her number one priority. A native of Hawaii, Kiki grew up with a variety of tribal-based names and is most proud of her family, faith, and heritage. She adores her dog Rampage, and chubby kitty, Dahui. In her spare time, Kiki volunteers at hospitals with her dog Rampage, who is a trained service dog. Her heart is filled with joy working as a nurse and making a difference in the lives of her patients. Kiki also enjoys riding motorcycles, hanging out with friends, and visiting her daughter and family.  We welcome her to the team and are so happy to have her here!
