LETTER FROM DR. MANDEL 
Dear Friends,
This month I want to share with you a quote that I envision for you this season;  “May your walls know joy, may every room hold laughter, and every window open to great possibility.” ~ Mary Anne Radmacher
I am fortunate that my holidays this year have been plentiful and satisfying. I sailed to Isthmus Cove on Catalina Island with my wife for 4 days over the Thanksgiving weekend. We relaxed, swam, and enjoyed a turkey feast on the Island with our son, Sam. It was a real treat!
I believe in taking time to reboot; the mind craves engagement, laughter and creativity. Finding time to rest as well as be social is an important balancing act and one that I sometimes find challenging. A reminder to us all at this time is to be open to the possibilities of the season as well as the opportunities in the coming New Year. Make time for that which will fuel your soul. Embrace the magic of the season and permit yourself to experience all the joy that surrounds you.
I look forward to a peaceful completion of 2017. My team has worked hard all year and I value their commitment to my patients, collaborators, and one another. In our efforts to support the wellness of our employees, we are closing the clinic from Christmas to New Years. I wish for them quality, uninterrupted time to do what they enjoy most during the holidays. I’m eager to spend a week with my family on the East Coast. I will be in Connecticut celebrating my great niece’s Bat Mitzvah. Turning 13 was long, long ago for me, but I can still remember the thrill of entering the teenage world and feeling like I made the transition from child to adult. Life is an interesting journey every step of the way; hold dear the moments of your past that held meaning and consider the endless possibilities of the future.

We had an exciting day of filming with CBC Canada last weekend with one of our brave patients, Maria, and are very excited to share with you when it’s broadcast across Canada and in some European markets. HOLIDAY HOURS
 
In observance of the holidays we will be closing early at 3pm on Friday, December 22nd, and returning to the office at 9am on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018. Please plan ahead and reach out to us should you need anything from our office prior to our closure.

Welcome Amanda!
 

We are pleased to introduce to you, Amanda Olsen, our new Administrative Assistant who is working at the front desk assisting with the administrative operations and greeting our patients. Amanda joined the team in the beginning of October and has been a wonderful addition and a huge help to Alyssa. She has a diverse work history consisting of a variety of functions with an emphasis on customer service and patient satisfaction. She has been eager to learn all that we do around here and has caught on quickly. Amanda recently became a new mom to a beautiful baby girl, and although she cherishes her time in her new role as mom, she was ready to get back to work and start her new adventure here at Ketamine Clinics of Los Angeles. When not at the clinic caring for our patients, she enjoys oil painting, hiking and spending time with her family.
Happy 1-year Anniversary Angel & Mary
November 28th we celebrated the 1 year Anniversary of two of our favorite people: Angel (Director of Operations) and Mary (Registered Nurse) who have brought much expertise and joy to our workplace. We are thankful every day for their commitment to our patients, team, and one another. On day one they formed an instant partnership as work buddies, building on one another’s strengths, and sharing their ideas along the way. They truly flourished all year long and we could not be happier about it. The year went by fast and we look forward to another great one with them by our side!

Professional medical clowns on a mission to make the lives of hospital patients more bearable:
The clowns are “Dush” and “Fruma” (real names David Barashi and Rotem Goldenberg, respectively). They’re here visiting from Israel for 10 days as part of the “I Clown You” project, which centers around a documentary film being made about clowns who work in Israeli hospitals. The film depicts clowning as an art of making human connections, even amid the country’s conflicts.  Read More…
